Fast Track was founded with a passion for helping people. We know that heating and cooling isn’t just about systems and equipment—it’s about families, businesses, and communities being able to live and work in comfort. That drive to serve and improve lives is what inspires us every day to go the extra mile, respond quickly, and treat every job as if it were our own.
A: We pride ourselves on fast response times. In most cases, we can schedule same-day service anywhere in the Arizona Valley, especially during peak heat waves or emergencies.
A: Yes! Our technicians are trained to work on all major heating and cooling brands, makes, and models. Whether it’s an older unit or the latest high-efficiency system, we’ve got you covered.
A: For Arizona’s climate, we recommend having your system serviced twice a year—once in the spring for your AC and once in the fall for your heating system. Regular maintenance helps prevent costly breakdowns and extends the life of your equipment.
A: We serve the entire Phoenix Metro and surrounding Valley cities, including Mesa, Gilbert, Chandler, Scottsdale, Tempe, Queen Creek, Glendale, and more.
A: Yes. HVAC problems rarely happen at convenient times. That’s why we offer emergency services to restore your comfort as quickly as possible, day or night.
The most common AC repair involves fixing issues with refrigerant leaks or low refrigerant levels, which prevent the system from cooling properly. Other frequent repairs include replacing faulty capacitors, cleaning or changing clogged air filters, and repairing worn contactors in the electrical system. Learn More Here.
The most frequent HVAC issue homeowners face is a dirty air filter. When filters become clogged with dust, pet hair, or debris, airflow is restricted, forcing the system to work harder. This can lead to poor cooling or heating performance, higher energy bills, and even damage to components like the blower motor or compressor. Learn More Here.
An HVAC contractor is a licensed professional who installs, repairs, and maintains heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, ensuring your home stays comfortable year-round. Learn More Here.
Common signs include dust buildup on furniture soon after cleaning, musty or unpleasant odors when the AC runs, uneven airflow between rooms, visible mold inside vents, or worsening allergy and asthma symptoms. These are clear indicators it’s time to schedule professional duct cleaning. Learn More Here.
Most central air conditioners last 15–20 years with regular maintenance. Window units typically last 8–10 years, while ductless mini‑splits can go 20+ years. If your system needs frequent repairs or struggles to cool, it may be nearing the end of its lifespan. Learn More Here.
The 3‑minute rule means you should wait at least three minutes after turning your AC off before switching it back on. This pause allows refrigerant pressure inside the system to stabilize, protecting the compressor from strain. Ignoring the rule can lead to short cycling, mechanical stress, and costly repairs. Learn More Here.
The $5000 rule is a guideline to help decide whether to repair or replace your air conditioner. Multiply the unit’s age by the estimated repair cost. If the result is more than $5000, replacement is usually the smarter choice. If it’s less, repair may be more cost-effective. This rule balances repair expenses against the system’s remaining lifespan. Learn More Here.
In most cases, repairing an AC unit is cheaper upfront, especially if the issue is minor (like a faulty capacitor, refrigerant leak, or clogged drain line). However, replacement may be more cost-effective in the long run if your unit is over 10–15 years old, requires frequent repairs, or has poor energy efficiency. A new system can lower utility bills and provide more reliable cooling, making it a better investment over time. Learn More Here.
Yes, you can handle light dust near vent openings with a shop vac or brush. However, deeper buildup, mold, or weak airflow usually requires professional duct cleaning. A pro has the equipment to reach the entire system safely and thoroughly. Learn More Here.
Neither is universally “better” — it depends on your needs. AC (air conditioning) provides cooling only, making it a cost-effective choice if your main concern is hot weather. HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) is a full system that manages heating, cooling, and indoor air quality year-round. Homeowners in warmer climates may find AC sufficient, while those needing both heating and cooling benefit more from HVAC’s versatility. Learn More Here.
